I’m obsessed, addicted, whatever…

It’s about this new game I own, Fahrenheit. (or Indigo Prophecy in the US.)

For years my favourite game of all time hasn’t changed. My numero uno was Mafia (I guess it made an offer I couldn’t refuse…). I still think full of melancholy about the days when I was playing it and the box is standing on my shelf like a shrine…

But now the unthinkable has happend. Well, unthinkable for me at least, I didn’t expect a game to beat Mafia. Certainly not that soon… Also, I really haven’t gamed much lately, so this really came totally unexpected. I’m not leaving the Salieri family completely though, I’m just putting them on the second place in my favourite top 10.

Actually, I wouldn’t consider Fahrenheit a video game, more an “Interactive movie”. If I created a list of favourite interactive movies, Fahrenheit would definately be first. The problem is that there wouldn’t be anything to put in second place.

Everything about Fahrenheit is perfect. The story, the gameplay, the music, the originality, the atmosphere (dark, obscure, thrilling, a slight taste of stylish horror, and a lot of amazing action sequences that are amazingly inspired on the orginal “The Matrix” movie.)

If someone would make a movie of this game, even without changing a thing about the story, I’m confident it would be a world-wide cult hit.

Try it out, you’ll be amazed.

P.S.: Here is my personal top-10 of all time video games. Well, actually I couldn’t stop at 10, so a made it a top-14, is that a problem? Let’s hope it won’t offend the family… (between brackets, you can find the platform I played them on…)
